States need to become more active in regulating multiple and lengthy hospital admissions. They also need to hold grant and fee for service contractors more accountable in providing quality mental health community based services which would prevent this abuse for the All Mighty Dollar.Too Sassynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4031385797162983888.post-46469195004943421602010-05-20T08:34:03.700-05:002010-05-20T08:34:03.700-05:00You are correct xyzseira but there are a wide vari...You are correct xyzseira but there are a wide variety of interventions to treat addictions that are not as intensive or costly as rehab. However, they could do more by, say, donating hardware and software and providing consultants to incorporate their products into school curricula, family activities, community development and the like. Many kids are involved with some type of video gaming and rather than harp on the ills, why not use the interest and involvement to engage our youth?Sebastion Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06222448782596048845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4031385797162983888.post-13233739825068211072010-05-04T22:52:39.664-05:002010-05-04T22:52:39.664-05:00The concenpt, as you describe it, is novel to me. ...The concenpt, as you describe it, is novel to me. Certainly, I've never looked at gaming in such a light. I do know, at certain points in my own life, I have resorted to gaming (sometimes excessively, in my own opinion)for various reasons. I can't say that it hasn't helped me by. I just can't say exactly how, or to what degree it might have helped, other than keeping me from doing stuff that would be really stupid (That, I can say!)

It would be interesting to know, per your discussion, what kinds of philanthropic efforts game companies do participate in. What kind of scholarships or grants to they make, if they make any?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
